The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) said that the school can not refuse to enroll children in the absence of Aadhaar card and it will be called illegal. UIDAI encouraged the schools to work together with the local banks, post offices, state education departments and the district administration to create a special card for updating and updating the base cards of children in their premises.

UIDAI said in the notification issued, it should be ensured that due to the Aadhar Card, no child should be deprived of the benefits and its rights. UIDAI also warned that if children are denied admission without the basis, then it will be illegal under the law and it is not allowed to do so. This step of UIDAI is great relief for the students and parents of those children who did not have the Aadhaar number.

UIDAI said, unless the Aadhaar number is issued for such students and updated biometrics, then they should be provided through other means of identifying all the facilities.

This move of UIDAI will also curb the arbitrariness of the schools!
